Happy Halloween 2008! (Spoilers for those who haven't read beyond Arc 2 of my fanfiction New Trials of Card Captor Sakura.)

I am presenting the two face of Kaitou Magician, an original character from my fanfiction New Trials of Card Captor Sakura. :) A night version as Thief of the Night and a day version as our Prince.

I drew and colored this months ago, but held off releasing it until my Kaitou Magician Special could be released. I was surprised at how popular Mizuki Kai is (probably as popular as Syaoran), and I am glad because I had a lot of fun creating his character, and hopefully I can show his different faces in the Kaitou Magician Origins Special.

Because of the details in the picture, please see full-view! Usually, I don't bother with background or composition, but I am very proud of this picture because I spent a lot of time coloring it and put some effort into actually having a composition. And it's probably one of the most time-consuming projects I've worked on, and is one of the rare times that I feel something came out the way I intended. I also had fun designing Kaitou-kun's outfit! :) It's also the debut of Perro-chan, Kai's pet parrot.

Question: Which version do you prefer? Night with Kaitou Magician or Day with Prince Mikai? :D

My favourite drawing of Kai x3 I like his clothing as Mikai but his hair looks great in Kaitou Magician's

Gosh, I can't decide which one I like more. Of course, Night is more like Kai now than Day. Hmmm...

Day- The one poor Miho's been searching for all this time.

Um, I guess if I have to choose, I pick Kai over Mikai

Awe sweet! You know, for some reason, whenever I read your scenes with Kai in them, I always pictured him as the mysterious, badass type. Man, I haven't read for a while though. *sigh* been preoccupied. Sorry! You must feel a little weirded out, cause I'm sure you haven't heard from me before. ^^' Ne, well, anyway, love your story and I'll catch up whenever I get the time. ;)

By the way, just wanna say that Kai always reminded me a little bit of Tuxedo Kamen from Sailor Moon and Sanji from One Piece. Not saying that you took anything from there, just that that's who he reminded me of. ^^' And I also remember when I was watching that one vid you made that was a trailer to your series (I think), that there was a clip of Tuxedo Kamen flying shadowy in the night that wasfrom the SMSS opening. I thought that it was supposed to be a simulation of Kaitou Magician and all. Or was I reading too much into it?

Amazing work! I love the detail on the costume and the change of hair and facial expressions between night and day.
Wonderful picture and awe-inspiring work on the fanfic!

OMFG IT'S HARVEY TWO-FACE !!

(That will have made no sense whatsoever if you haven't seen The Dark Knight.. lol)

Lolol okay, maybe not but WOW this picture is awesome. Love the whole concept of duality going on here - I love how as a character, Kai can never really run away from is "other half", so to speak. Just as yin is not complete without yang, Kaitou Magician can never fully hide from Mikai, or vice versa.

As for which one I like the best - well Kai would definitely take the prize lol! *swoons while boyfriend isn't looking* ehehe ^^; Personally I think it's the rose petals that make it XD

Can't wait till the writing comes out! *bounces*
