Syaoran puts his coat on Sakura

It's been a while since I drew young Sakura and Syaoran. I wanted to celebrate the launch of the Card Captor Sakura Clear Card Arc anime in January 2018 (next week)! Never thought a day would come that I would see more animated Card Captor Sakura. I've actually held off on even watching the preview all this time, because I sort of want to delay the experience to savor it more. I might give in next week and watch the preview. I'm so curious about the opening and ending themes also.

This was a fairly easy picture to draw, because since several days ago, I just wanted to draw Sakura wearing a beret with a pompom. I drew and colored this really quickly--it's rare that I can finish any artwork in one sitting, but I was sort of late on my Christmas fanart again this year, and I really didn't want to do chibis again. This is the longest stretch of time I have gone without drawing at all, I believe--I haven't even been doodling on notes. I had little artistic inspiration for the past half year, and also I think I was more focused on finishing New Trials Chapter 73: The Other Side of Midnight. I do have a lot more ideas lately, especially motivated by all the awesome fanart being over at the New Trials Facebook page, so hopefully, I will get more opportunities to post more artwork in 2018, especially with the new CCS anime out, I'm sure there will be lots of sources of inspiration!
